Torrens Come and Try Paddling for Joeys and Cubs – November 2024

This is a Come and Try paddling activity for Torrens Joey and Cub Scouts.

Youth will have the opportunity to work towards

Outdoor Adventure Skills - Paddling Stage 1/2

Location:

Adventurous Activities Centre, Glenelg

Location

Sessions:

Leaders will be able to sign up their Joeys and Cubs for a 2 hr session.

There is a maximum of 20 youth per session.

BOOKING:

·       Section Leaders will need to book and The Group will be Invoiced

·       Please ensure all medical and contact details on MyScout are current

·       Parents / carers are not required to register.

SECTION LEADERS will be responsible for:

·       Checking youth in on the day

·       Supervision of youth while not on the water

·       Assisting with organising youth getting ready to paddle

·       Creating, collecting and presenting all Y4 / A4’s to the Paddling LIC

·       Assisting with Outdoor Adventure Skills recording

·       Informing Paddling team of any medical / health concerns

FORMS:

·       Y4’s / A4’s will need to be completed in addition to registering via MyScout and handed to the Paddling Leader in Charge on the day.

PAYMENT: Your Group will be Invoiced on Monday 11^th of November 2024

·       Full payment required for group / section to secure booking

·       Please make one (1) payment for your group / section

·       $12 per youth member

** Due to limited spaces available, if full payment has not been made by Friday 15^th of November 2024 the session will be opened to other groups.

REFUNDS:

Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by the Paddling team.
