West Lakes Paddling Day – Stage 1-3 - Saturday 7th Sept 2024

Youth members aged 11 years plus (Scout Section up) will have the opportunity to undertake a half day paddling activity of 3 hours.

Your Section Leader does not need to attend, there will be qualified Scout Paddling Leaders running each session.

If you have never paddled before great! If you've paddled on a Scout camp or School camp,  great! Or somwhere in between, also great!

Youth will have the opportunity to:

    • work on Paddling Stages 1 - 3. 

    • capsize and get wet (weather dependant).

    • develop navigation skills, paddling around Delfin Island, West Lakes 

WHAT TO BRING:

SESSION:

The day will consist of a morning or afternoon session. 

There are 7 places available for kayaking and 5 places available for Canoeing in each session. 

 Morning session

8:30am – 11:30am - Kayak

8:30am – 11:30am - Canoe

 Afternoon session: 

12:30pm – 3:30pm - Kayak

12:30pm – 3:30pm – Canoe

PAYMENT:

    • Cost: $20 per person, payable at registration
