Details: Here is your chance to learn all about the exciting world of rogaining and orienteering. For our second NavFest event this year we offer a training session with in-the-field navigation practice in the morning. This session is focused on younger participants, where we will introduce topics such as map reading and using a compass.

This will include a short (< 2 km) orienteering course, where our experienced leaders will be available to go with you, or feel free to venture out on your own.

Please note that this is separate to a two-hour orienteering/rogaining competitive event in the afternoon. To attend the competitive event please register for our other MyScout event.

The orienteering event will be done in teams of 2-7. Please either select your team or create a new team upon registration.

The event is suitable for all ages and skill levels, and you may attend either or both the morning training and the competitive event. Please register accordingly.

Venturers and experienced Scouts can form their own teams. Any team with a member under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Items you will need on the day:
- Compass (at least 1 per 2 people)
- Small backpack
- At least 1 litre of water for the event plus extra available before and after the event
