Comedy Capers Gang Show 2022 season
We are on the lookout for enthusiastic members, who are wanting to be a part of South Australia’s largest Scout/Guide theatre production.
Whatever your background, whatever your interest, there is a place for you in the Comedy Capers Team.
To join this fantastic performing arts team all members are required to be members of Scouts SA, as either a uniformed member or as an adult volunteer.
Cast are required to be registered as a uniform member of Scouts or Girl Guides.
Crew under 18’s must also be registered as a uniform member of Scouts or Guides however over 18’s crew do not need to be a Rover, Leader or Guide to be a crew member.
Parents and friends are encouraged to apply as adult helpers.
Cast rehearsals are held on Sunday evenings and begin 30th January 2022. Theatre performances 25th - 28th May 2022
JOINING THE CAST in 2022
Auditions for cast will be held on the 21st and 28th November 2021. There are 4 sessions available (your attendance at 1 session is required).
Criteria for Cast
- Cast members must at all times be registered and financial members of Scouts SA Branch or the Girl Guide Association, who are prepared to participate in Comedy Capers Gang Show, in addition to their regular Scout or Girl Guide activities.
- Scouts & Guides who will have attained their 9th birthday by 30th June 2022 or older are eligible to audition.
- Comedy Capers does not have an upper age limit, however, is committed to providing opportunities to Scouting and Guiding youth.
- Comedy Capers reserves the right to maintain the cast quota and performance requirements specific to the 2022 season and therefore may not accept all auditioning applicants into cast.

JOINING THE CREW in 2022
There are many departments that play a part within Comedy Capers, Administration, Finance, Marketing, Production & Technical departments all make up our crew.
Why not learn a new skill or perhaps you have a valuable skill that we can showcase!!
Please note that there are limitations regarding the number of people per department, age limitations and other exclusion criteria may apply for some departments.
Heads of Departments will select their team members from the applications.
Admin departments: Catering/Canteen, Health & Safety, Guest Services, Front of House & Theatre Attendants.
Marketing departments: Fundraising & Sponsorship, Promotions & Social Media, Ticket Sales
Production departments: Band
Technical departments: AV-Audio Visual, Theatre Communications, Costume- Design & Wardrobe, DVD & Video, Lighting, Make Up, Props, Scenic Design, Sfx, Sound/Audio, Set Construction & Stage.
Under 18 crew – there are a few crew departments with age restrictions. It is a requirement that ALL CREW members who are under 18 and of scouting age (6 years to 18 years old), be registered and financial with Scouts SA or Girl Guides.
