Bushwalking Trained Participant Course is 3 x 2 hour online sessions and a bushwalking weekend course, where participants can gain additional skills needed to safely lead members on bushwalking activities in Intermediate environments, e.g. tracked and untracked terrain (non-remote).
Note: This will be first course under new Safe Participant definition being conducted by the Bushwalking Team.
Participation in this course does not guarantee you will be issued with the qualification as you must demonstrate you are competent in the required skills, which may require additional experience. For youth wishing to attend, this course is recommended to those aged 14+ years.
It's recommended participants for this course have completed Safe Participant / BOS / Scouting Adventure / Bushwalking Level 1 training and/or Logbook demonstrated experience.

b) Available Saturday 07-Aug-2021 08:00 to Sunday 08-Aug-2021 15:00
c) Complete pre-course sections of the workbooks before Friday 23-Jul-2021
d) Complete bushwalk planning exercise before Friday 23-Jul-2021
This course is for navigation in controlled environments, tracked terrain, self-catered, camping overnight and BYO tent.
