Paddle Venture 2021 (Autumn)

A 2 day / 1 night paddling trip at the beginning of Term 2, exploring River Murray and backwater/creek systems near Roonka Water Activities Centre.

There is an opportunity to overnight camp ($7/person) prior at Roonka on Friday 30th April and participants can organise this themselves via Woodhouse Booking Office, roonkabookings@sa.scouts.com.au / (08) 8339 3333.

Saturday night is a bush camping and this is a full self-catering trip.

Suitable for: Venturers and Linking Scouts, participants will need a referral from an Endorsed Paddling Leader and/or preferably completed Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) Paddling Stage 3. A logbook of your paddling experiences will be of benefit here.

NOTE: 

·       Youth participant places are limited with opportunity to hire a single kayak or share a double canoe OR for those with access to their own Scouts SA Registered kayaks or canoes.

·       Individuals and teams of two welcome are to apply, and participants will receive a registration confirmation and future communications via their current MyScout email address.

Adult Leader places are for currently identified supporting Paddling Leaders.
